From Bellah towards Lokon
Frankly, I'm really proud to be born in the interior Bellah, Mimika regency, Papua, on June 25, 1992. Even more proud that I have named Julibeta Balinol mother and father named Samuel Amisim. My third child. I live in families who embraced Protestant Christianity. My name Konianus Amisim. Everyday I call my friend, Konny.
When I was 6 years old, in my kampong in Bellah a war between the OPM with the Indonesian military. I still remember the atmosphere was very tense. There-sani looks messy. Not a few of many victims from both sides. This war flare up during one year, ie 1997. Not only that, the war was widespread until the village Alamah the mileage from Bellah for 3 days.
Because security is less assured in the village of my birth, my parents and my sister evacuated to the city government Timik with helicopter flight about 1 hour old.
New life in the town of Timika, Mimika regency began I live with my brothers and my parents. I then in elementary school Mimika Presidential Directive 9 on the year 1999. In 2005 I graduated from elementary school. Then, I went to junior high school n N 3, in the SP 5, Timika.
There are experiences that make me the trauma and grief. When I sit in class 3 junior high school, there were wars between the Dani and Damal in Koamkilama. These tribal wars raged so hard that I moved school and could not finish it in junior high.
Because Susana war, I was in junior high school moved Agimuga State, west of Timika. Distance Timika Agimuga two-day trip to wear "Jonson" or perhau vehicles. I remember that time we moved together with my friends who totaled 15 people. I remember two names are now both in high school Lokon St. Nikolaus, Tomohon, North Sulawesi. Namely Editha Degin, Izak Masawarol. At Junior High School Agimuga, I passed the national exam in 2008.
At the time I lived in this Agimuga I heard the news of acceptance tests for those who want to continue their studies at the high school or university, organized by LPMAK. Therefore, I went down to Timika to take the test in LPMAK and I finally passed the high school entrance test Lokon St. Nikolaus Tomohon, North Sulawesi. How happy I was accepted at the high school Lokon it although I do not have the slightest shadow on the situation and condition of the school.
As many as 25 people managed to penetrate into high school students Lokon. Arriving in Lokon, I just know that the school has complete facilities in particular has many laboratories. I met a lot of friends from various places such as Java, Kalimantan, Makassar, Maluku, Palu, Tahuna, and Manado and Tomohon. My impression of this school are embracing multi-racial, multi religion and culture. The atmosphere is really exciting for me in adapting to school environment.
In high school we learned in this Lokon matriculation class. One by one, I left high school friend Lokon because "not survive" life in the dorms and school and go back to Papua. Finally the remaining 19 students who still survive in this Lokon high school until now. I'm with friends who have it do not remember going home to Papua unless due to illness or other obstacles. Students who attend school in high school this Lokon come from various ethnic regions throughout Indonesia. Without felt I had completed the matriculation classes within 10 months. A total of 15 students passed the matriculation program. Only thanks to the grace of God we are now sitting in class XI Lokon high school, school-based curriculum of life. In this school instilled the values of life such as study hard, diligent work, humble, positive thinking, fear of the Lord.
LIFE MORE "YES" AFTER FOLLOWING matriculation
Matriculation is a program designed by LPMAK for the purpose of provision of academic and non academic skills in preparation for college entrance. After my matriculation program for a year, I felt a big change in me, both in terms of academic and everyday life. These changes occur because during the matriculation program I get a lot of knowledge (Economics, English) and practical skills (public speaking, directing, singing), which has not fully acquired while receiving education in Timika.
The matriculation program is an intensive I get a variety of subject matter. In addition I was also acquire new knowledge and skills related to the way of life as a student and society in general. New knowledge and skills that I found in subjects that are life skill. I was assisted to find ways of living well and doing activities to learn and work effectively. Courage I trained so that when I go to college, I did not feel awkward anymore, and dare to appear in public.
The experience that I can as long as I follow the program at the high school matriculation Lokon St. Nikolaus Manado, the capital will be ready for me to learn in college. Program matriculation class I felt very helpful, because if I go straight into the regular classroom program, then I would have difficulty in absorbing the learning materials provided and are not able to compete with friends in high school Lokon. Friends who are from outside Timika previously has received a better quality basic education than in Timika.
Learning process in Timika is less meemadai because the teachers who teach in elementary, junior high and high school rarely enter. Usually the teachers in a month only 2 weeks of teaching. This occurs mainly in the villages or villages in various districts. The same thing also happened central town of Timika in Papua. Even more worrying again, teachers who teach in rural-rural or remote areas. Timika students do not get the subject matter which is equivalent to students who are from outside Timika. This is what encouraged me to study hard during the program at the high school matriculation classes Lokon St. Nikolau. I tried hard until finally I could pass the matriculation program and now I'm sitting in class XI High School.
Learning from experience, I think the matriculation program is very important for student friends from the Mimika district, especially the friends from the interior of Timika in preparation for later attending regular high school classroom or college.
I have a message for friends who will learn in high school or college friends should follow the matriculation courses to prepare themselves for further study in college. Siapkankanlah good mental and learn to think an adult. Do your friends think that this program will hamper the study, but this program will provide your friends with the basic skills and practice good lifestyle habits. Prepare a clear mind and open heart. Your friends will learn about the changing ways of thinking and a positive attitude. Honesty is also very important. Friends need to prepare a strong passion for this program is not easy to follow. Experience shows there are friends who do not pass the program and should be returned to Timika. But do not be pessimistic. Be optimistic. And do all things in earnest, let God finish the rest. Happy learning. Amen.
